Anyone who is expecting a baby will tell you that the biggest decision they’ll make is choosing the name of their baby.
There’s so much to consider. Will it define my child? Will it hinder his/her future career? Is it easy to spell? Not to mention the fact that family members will have an opinion on the name, too.
Well, one woman took matters into her own hands when she gave her son the same name she knew her ex and his new partner had chosen for their yet-to-be-born son. As expected, things got awkward.
Taking to a Mumsnet forum, the husband’s new partner wrote: “His ex who he already has a son with [and] who has just had a baby, has actually stolen the name we were going to use.”
Apparently the exes were on “amicable terms and she knew what name we had chosen, now she has robbed it. We call the baby by this name and it is THE name we want, but his son can’t have two sisters called the same thing can he?! Livid.”
Several people responded to the post and said the mum-to-be was being a tad dramatic.
Is it just a coincidence or next-level spitefulness? Either way, we wouldn’t want to be at the next family gathering.
