Mum trolled for posting bikini snap online

A mother-of-two has been hit back at nasty trolls who shamed her for posting a bikini picture online.

Body positive blogger Ana Carolina Rojas was relaxing by the pool on Tuesday when she uploaded a snap of herself basking in the sun in a pink and white bikini top.

And while she may have thought it was an innocent photo, she still got slammed by one of her followers.

“The sun is out. The breeze is soft. The water is cool. The boys are attempting synchronized swimming. Life is so good right now no matter which way you look at it,” she captioned the snap.

Just one day later the mum reposted the snap with the troll’s comment and her reply splashed all over it.

“Wtf this is a joke,” the follower said in the comment, to which Ana replied: “No, it really is nice and warm enough to have a pool day. Amazing, huh?”

Ana then elaborated in the caption of the photo, saying she wasn’t going to let the comment get to her.

“Just because someone insults you doesn't mean you need to feel insulted,” she said.

“I had a ridiculously non-adulting weekend and it was glorious. A busy week full of adulting ahead so wishing you all the best!!”

Speaking to Yahoo Style, Ana said she’s used to the nasty comments but doesn’t let them get to her.

“Personally, I have seen tons of other accounts where people get downright nasty, but I feel my mum status puts me in a different category in people’s minds,” she said.

“I have women constantly telling me that because they saw how I was reacting to stuff they then had the courage to wear bikinis and just enjoy their time with their family and friends.

“It’s easy to get lost in the frustration, but you need to realize they have no original ideas, so tearing yours down is literally their only option.”
