If you see these hooks anywhere, leave immediately
At first glance they may look like a regular clothes hook, but if you look closely, these everyday household objects contain a hidden camera.
Police have issued a warning after the plastic hooks were installed in public bathrooms as spy cameras.
Initially they were sold as "nanny cams" for parents wanting to protect their children from any inappropriate behaviour by nannies.
The hooks, which are powered via batteries are being sold online at eBay and Amazon and are going for under $30.
The plastic hook is equipped with a hidden camera, and the designers have also included a memory card so the device can be mounted anywhere and the images are easily transferred.

Police in the US have issued a warning after Florida sheriffs found the cameras in three different women’s bathrooms across the state.
“Anyone who has a public restroom on their property needs to check them closely,” Sheriff Rick Ramsay said.

“If you find anything suspicious you think might contain a hidden camera, don’t touch it. Call us right away and we will respond,” he said.
According to private investigator, Carrie Kerskie, the battery life for these hooks is two hours.
“Then, you just take it out, pop it in the computer and you have all your images," she told NBC.
At the moment, police fear that copy-cat perverts could misuse the cameras in the same way Down Under.
