Kate gives runner major side eye after Will is splashed at marathon

They may be royalty but it appears even that doesn’t get Prince William and Kate Middleton out of being splashed at a marathon.

The Duke and Duchess appeared at the London marathon yesterday to give out bottles of water to weary runners as part of their Heads Together campaign.

However the couple was left less than impressed when one overexcited runner decided to splash water in their direction, getting Prince William right in the face.

While William seemed to take the whole thing in jest, the look on Kate Middleton’s face told a very different story.

The Duchess appeared to give a shady side eye to the runner, who continued on with the marathon despite his obvious snub of the royals.

Will and Kate were joined by Prince Harry at the marathon, with the trio standing about 26 miles into the race.

40,000 runners cheered and smiled as they grabbed water bottles from the royals, with Kate holding up a blue foam hand at one stage to keep them motivated.

Will and Kate also sounded the horn to signal the start of the race earlier in the day before taking up their position about halfway through.

The Duke and Duchess are part of the Heads Together campaign which is aimed to raise awareness about people living with mental illness.
