WATCH: Cop's amazing response to noise complaint

If you’ve ever been to a party where your cranky neighbours have called the cops in the early hours of the morning, you’d know the police don’t usually take too kindly to making noise-related house calls.

The officers from the San Antonio Police Department in Texas operate a little differently though, with some of them jumping at the chance to join in.

Mum Leslie Sapp outed her local police as complete heroes after they were called in at 1am to shut down a dance crew event with local kids.

The clip, which has been watched nearly 500,000 times, shows one fleet-footed officer deciding not to disperse the crowd, but instead commandeer the dance floor and show the kids how to salsa.

“So SAPD originally came for a noise complaint at our crew event… THEN this happened… lol,” Leslie wrote. ”He even got Jaelie to dance with him.”

The cop’s slick moves have earned him fans all around the world.

“That is so awesome, community policing at its best,” commented one Facebook user.

“I wish more people were just him... is he single?” wrote another.

To cap off an eventful night, the officers even stuck around to take a group shot with the kids.
