Princess Charlotte targeted by online trolls

The latest picture taken by the royal family proves that not even two-year-olds are exempt from vile internet trolls.

Kensington Palace released an image of Princess Charlotte just in time for her second birthday on Tuesday, showing the adorable tot looking directly into the camera.

And while the world may have cooed over her cute pastel yellow cardigan and her rosy cheeks, trolls were more focused on the toddler’s “middle-aged blow dry “.

The tiny princess, who has been likened to the Queen in the snap, which was taken by Kate Middleton, was also called a “leech” and mocked for her “comb over”.

“Princess Charlotte, with her middle-aged blow dry and her inherited privilege,” one Twitter user said.

“Princess Charlotte has a comb over, she must be bald like her father,” another person said.

Another Twitter user said: “Princess Charlotte, f'''''' off, baby leech”.

But proving that decent people do exist, many social media users have come to the defense of the two-year-old, blasting the trolls online.

“Wow, hating on a 2 year old toddler. Your life must be so interesting,” one person replied to the tweets.

“How sad your life must be if you can't find anything better to do with than bullying a frickin' 2-year-old,” another person said.

Princess Charlotte’s parents have been closely guarding her privacy since she was born, with the tot only being photographed on a few occasions.

The pictures that the royals do release are usually either taken by Kate Middleton or her granddad, Michael Middleton.

Princess Charlotte turned two on Tuesday and the royals celebrated with a ‘Frozen’ themed birthday party.

Wills and Kate are said to have pulled out all the stops to make sure she had the party of her dreams.

Princess Charlotte wanted a ‘Frozen’ themed bash, complete with a “room full of helium balloons” and an Olaf cake lovingly made by her brother, Prince George.
