In a Reddit thread posted by an anonymous user, the woman said a close friend was getting married and had become “extremely irritating”.

“I am the victim of her wrath,” the post read, before asking other commenters if they’d ever had run-ins with brides-to-be.

One woman said things got so nasty that the bride actually slapped her in the mouth during the reception.

“ She had this massive, billowing explosion of organza as a skirt,” the woman started.

“It was beautiful but utterly impractically designed: it took at least three of us to hold up her skirt so she could pee.

“She had been drinking on an empty stomach and on the second trip to the rest room with all of us holding this dress up while she hovered drunkenly over a toilet she couldn't see, she ordered me to wipe her.”

The woman of course declined and then out of nowhere the bride slapped her while screaming that their friendship was over if she didn’t do this for her.

“She tried to apologize years later, but seemed surprised when I was not interested in rekindling our friendship,” she said.

Another bride, who very religious, had an extremely strict rule when it came to her guest list.

“She told my friend last week that she doesn't want anyone at her wedding who was born out of wedlock. Which includes my friend, who is the daughter of a teen mom,” the commenter said.

Another woman said her sister-in-law told her bridesmaids to gain 5-10kg to make “her look better in comparison”.

“I just can't understand that,” she wrote.

Another person said she was asked to be in her childhood friend’s wedding party and she decided to accept because she was “really laud back and fun” – but oh how wrong she was.

“The bridal party was twenty people- ten bridesmaids, ten groomsmen,” she started.

“We were basically the unpaid wedding staff; although over half of the bridesmaids and groomsmen sat around flirting instead of working.

“The remaining eight of us set up, and completely decorated the venue for a 200 guest wedding.

“The bride and her super controlling mother followed us around, correcting absolutely everything we did.”

It turns out the bride didn’t want to pay the venue staff to decorate the place and instead spent the money of six wedding dresses for the day.

“Yes, throughout the course of the very long wedding ceremony/reception, the bride changed into all six,” she said.

“No, it wasn't a cultural thing. They were six, nearly identical, very expensive white satin dresses. I guarantee you, most people hardly noticed that she changed six times.”
