WATCH: Priyanka Chopra says Meghan is more than just Harry's girlfriend

She may be rubbing shoulders with the royal family these days but Meghan Markle’s actress friend Priyanka Chopra says there’s more to her than just being known as Prince Harry’s girlfriend.

The 34-year-old actress, who has been close with Markle for the past two years, appeared on the Wendy Williams show, where she boasted about her famous friend’s achievements.

Chopra was asked about Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship on the show, with Wendy describing it a kind of a “big deal”.

However Chopra didn’t seem impressed with her friend just being known as the flame-haired Prince’s other half and interrupted Wendy before he could go any further.

“Also Meghan Markle... you know, an actress in Suits, her own achievements...” she said.

Wendy then went on to ask Chopra if there was a royal wedding on the cards for Markle and Prince Harry in the near future.

“I hope so. She seems happy. I think they look great together,” she said.

Appearing to not pick up on the star’s discomfort, Wendy then probed the actress even further, asking her if she would be a bridesmaid if Markle were to tie to knot.

“I don't know if I'm that close to her,” Chopra awkwardly said

“I have known her two years now. We randomly met at a party and got on really well.

“So once I get the invite, I don't know... If I'm even invited.”

The interview comes just days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted looking smitten with each other on their way to Pippa Middleton’s wedding.

The duo looked blissfully in love, which only added fuel to rumours they could be about to announce an engagement sooner rather than later.
