Outrage as Mum wants to tattoo her five-year-old son

A mum has sparked outrage after posting to Facebook asking for suggestions on where she can get her five-year-old tattooed.

A screenshot of the mother’s request was posted to Reddit, alongside the caption: “Mom wants to get her 5 year old child a f'''''''''' tattoo.”

The mother said in the post that she didn’t know anywhere that would tattoo her son, Jaxon, because he’s too young and went on to ask for recommendations from her friends.

However one of her friends immediately expressed their concern over the mother’s intentions and tried to talk her out of it.

“Um how old is he? If he’s a child he can’t get a tattoo,” the person said.

The mother defended herself, saying it was going to be a present for his sixth birthday.

“I know it’s a lil’ young but I’ve found a really nice tat that’s sort of a mother/son kinda thing and I wanna get him it for his 6th birthday in May,” she said.

“Plus children can get tats if they have a parent with them when they getting it done.”

Her friend was appalled at the mother and let her know she wasn’t for the idea at all.

“Are you insan?” the friend wrote.

“You want your little child to get a permanent thing on his body that hasn’t even developed yet and it’s something he can’t even consent to?

“Hell most 16 year olds still can’t get tattoos on their own so I’m actually sat here in shock that you think getting one at 5 is acceptable.

“You definitely won’t find ANY places that will do that.”

The mother hit back one last time, shutting down her friend while not backing down on her unusual birthday gift for her son.

“Last time I checked you don’t have a kid?” she wrote.

“So don’t lecture me about my parenting, just because you think it’s wrong doesn’t mean it is.”
