“Sadly Emma through no fault of her own was involved in a horrible car accident,” her friend Jasmine McGinley reveals on a GoFundMe page.

Emma was rushed to West Wales General Hospital in Carmarthen, and initially was able to feel her baby kick in the ambulance on the way there.

“After waiting for a bed and having a physical examination she finally got to hear his heart beat at 3pm, but it was too fast so she was sent for a scan,” Jasmine reveals.

“The scan showed his heart beat had returned to normal and he looked completely fine. Emma got to Glangwili at 8.30pm for overnight observation.

“After she was settled and the midwife came to see her at 10pm to check his heart again. After half an hour of trying she couldn't find one so Emma was rushed off to a scan where she was told that unfortunately, they couldn't find a heart beat anymore.”

Emma later gave birth to a son she named Flynn, who weighed in at a tiny 1lbs 6oz.

Friends and family of the young mum have now rallied around her to raise funds for Flynn’s funeral.

“As we can imagine Emma heartbroken, although we can't take away her pain we can help with funeral expenses to help give baby Flynn a perfect funeral,” says Jasmine.
