Harper’s Palace birthday organised ‘behind Queen’s back’
It was the fairy tale birthday for any six year-old; a party at Buckingham Palace with a real life Princess – in the Queen’s granddaughter Eugenie – in attendance.
But questions are now being raised about how Harper Beckham came to be in the Palace in the first place.
They were guests of Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson and her ex-husband Prince Andrew, but a royal insider tells The Sun that it was all organised "behind the Queen’s back".
“It’s very surprising Fergie would host a celebrity party at Buckingham Palace,” they say.
“The Queen and Prince Philip are away up in Scotland. He would never allow her to do something like this in the house when he was there.”
However, a spokesperson from the Palace says, “From time to time members of the Royal Family who reside at royal residences invite guests to visit them privately.”
David Beckham, who has been posting photos of the event to Instagram, has been hit with some with backlash by some of his less-than-impressed followers.
He later clarified, “just to be clear this wasn't the palace opening the gates for Harper's birthday party, this was a tea party where us and other guests were invited”.
“…it was a beautiful thing to do with my mum, Harper plus a few school friends... We were honoured to be able to there... Beautiful tea party....”

In any case, spending your birthday at Buckingham Palace is bound to make anyone jealous regardless of their age!
The Beckhams are no stranger to the British Royal circuit having attended Prince William and Kate Middleton’s nuptials in 2011 and Victoria even received an OBE for her contribution to the fashion industry from Wills earlier this year.
Harper’s big brothers, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, also took to social media to wish her a happy birthday on Monday in a series of sweet snaps.
