The telltale sign Harry's already popped the question

Earlier today it was reported one of Harry's friends let slip that a royal wedding is on the cards and now there's been telltale sign that proves Meghan and the Prince are heading down the aisle.

While the Prince may have been spotted two days ago in London playing polo alongside his brother, Prince William, Meghan Markle was getting the wedding prep underway.

According to a report in Woman's Day, the 35-year-old Suits actress was spotted in Toronto trying on a range of wedding dresses.

A friend revealed Meghan had her heart set on one dress in particular but made the remark that she "couldn't walk down the aisle of Westminster Abbey in it”.

"But the fact that she's trying on dresses and thinking about a wedding shows how serious things are,” the friend told the magazine.

Meghan's trip to the bridal boutique comes after the Daily Star reported Harry enlisted the help of longtime royal jeweller, Harry Collins, to create a one-of-a-kind engagement ring for Meghan, said to be worth up to $170,000.

It reportedly features the emerald diamonds from one of Diana's bracelets and Harry was keen to give something of his late mother's to his new wife.

Earlier today a friend of Harry let slip that the royal couple's wedding plans are in full swing.

Former US marine and Paralympic hopeful Kirstie Ennis seemed to confirm reports that Harry and Meghan are set to become husband and wife.

According to The Express, Kirstie nodded in response to a question by reporters about going to the prince's "upcoming wedding” and then said: "I don't think I'm worried about the wedding. I'm worried about the after party.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been dating since last November, after becoming besotted with each other during the Invictus Games.

Since then, the pair have rarely spent more than a few weeks apart, with Meghan accompanying the royal to polo matches, trips around London and to West End shows.
