Donald Trump is known for being a businessman, reality star and now the President of the United States – but now he can add artist to the list.

A very questionable-looking piece of work, drawn by the 71-year-old, has gone up for auction and the minimum bid is $11,000 (US$9,000).

The painting is a very minimalistic interpretation of New York’s skyline, with Trump Tower taking pride of place right in the middle.

Auction house Nate D Saunders in New York, uploaded the photo to their website, stating the painting is a “rare original artwork” by the President.

“Donald Trump hand-drawn and signed sketch of the New York City skyline, with Trump Tower at its center,” the description reads.

“Composed and signed Donald J Trump in gold marker, artwork measures 11.5 x 9, nicely matted against gold and framed to 18.5 x16.”

There is a “light smudge and an abrasion on the right side of the painting, yet at the time of writing this, there was already one bidder who put down a cool $11,000 (US$9,000) for what can only be described as a scribble.

Trump is said to have originally painted the drawing for a charity event and according to the auction house, there is “only a handful of such drawings known”.

Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck, Regis Philbin and Joe Torre also donated drawings to the National Center for Family Literacy charity back in 2005.
