Twitter reacts to sea bugs eating Aussie’s legs
Between deadly spiders and venomous snakes, Australia sometimes gets a bad rap for things that are out to kill us poor, defenceless humans.

Well, things have only escalated after 16-year-old Sam Kanizay emerged from Brighton beach in Melbourne with his legs a bloody mess, after being attacked by flesh-eating sea critters.
Reports now say the teen was likely bitten by lysianassid amphipods, aka sea fleas – and the Twitterverse is having none of it.

Despite the reaction on Twitter, in true Aussie fashion, locals have shrugged off the threat of bloody seeping wounds, and are refusing to give up their morning swim.
"We're probably too gritty and tough and old for those creatures to worry about," Brighton swimmer Paul Duckett told The Age.
