Dad finally faces his terror of heights

A Reddit user recently shared one of the most gripping – literally – videos we've watched in a long time.

His father, who he said suffers from a "crippling fear of heights", creeps on his belly along a clifftop to see the Atlantic Ocean.

"My dad won't let a crippling fear of heights keep him from peering over the edge," user gladlybeyond wrote. "Well maybe."

As he torturously makes his way towards the edge, the man has to pause several times to regroup and take a breath, his terror nearly getting the better of him more than once.

"I can't look!" he gasps, nearly hysterical with fear and adrenaline. "I'm afraid!"

Having travelled all the way from the US to Dun Aonghasa in the Aran Islands , it was worth his while to gather up enough courage to check out the view.
