Queen refuses to abdicate for Prince Charles
Rumours may have gone into overdrive last week that the Queen was about to abdicate and hand over the throne to Prince Charles, but now it looks like she may have changed her mind.
Sources close to the royal circle say the Queen is still very much dedicated to serving her country and will not be giving up her crown for anybody.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, a royal insider said the only way the Queen would hand over her title to Prince Charles is if she was too sick to carry them out.
“The Queen has always been so vehement that there will never be a regency unless she was sick to the point of being unable to perform her duties,” the source said.
“As long as she’s healthy, regardless of her age, I don’t see a regency.
“Other members of the royal family can just do more.”
It comes just two weeks after The Sun reported that the Queen had told her staff and her inner circle that she was abdicating and that Prince Charles would be taking her place.
According to royal commentator Robert Jobson, preperations for the transitions of the Crown were gaining pace.
He told the Mail On Sunday that Palace communications staff were ordered to be "up to speed" on the 1937 Regency Act - that's the bill that grants power to the heir apparent.
"I understand the Queen has given the matter considerable thought and believes that, if she is still alive at 95, she will seriously consider passing the reign to Charles," My Jobson said.
However Clarence House, the official residence of the Prince of Wales, made no comment about so-called Plan Regency.
