ABC journo suffers awkward TV gaffe

An ABC journo has been caught out again after a camera fail on Beverly O’Connor’s The World show resulted in a rather awkward blooper.

Footage of an interview was supposed to be rolling when the camera suddenly turned to the unsuspecting presenter instead.

She was speaking to someone out of view as the interview audio continued to play, but quickly realised the mistake and turned to smile tensely at viewers for a cringe-worthy 14 seconds.

The blooper comes after a string of live TV mishaps in the UK this month, and follows fellow ABC presenter Natasha Exelby's famous gaffe where she missed her on-air cue and was filmed fiddling with her nails when the camera turned back to her.
