Shopper’s horror as Cadbury Caramello has NO caramel inside

When you go to indulge in some chocolaty goodness, you’d expect Cadbury Dairy Milk would always be one to deliver.

Well, for one disgruntled customer this was not the case when she went to chow down on her Cadbury Caramello.

There was actually no caramel which totally makes the whole Caramello! What are you doing Cadbury?!

Jess Mackay took to the Cadbury Dairy Milk Facebook page to let the company know of her dismay when she discovered her Caramello was sans caramel and the difficult journey she went through just to retrieve the chocolate bar.

The mum had been “craving some Caramello deliciousness” so after she’d put her kids down for the night she made a “quick dash to [her] local supermarket.”

“I didn’t really care that I was in my oversized, hole ridden pj’s, nor did I care that I wasn’t wearing a bra,” she wrote.

Sidenote: we’re sure all you ladies (and gents) can relate to those late night supermarket PJ runs with no bra for treats.

Luckily the mum on a mission didn’t bump into anyone she knew and managed to fetch her “block of gold” aka her Cadbury Caramello.

“I made it home relatively unscathed, except where I had to commando crawl past the veggie section to avoid one of those sickly perfect school mums for her ‘super kids’,” Jess wrote.

Ugh, those people are the WORST. Chocolate is the way to go.

She was so excited to chow down on her chocolate bar “like a child opening their first present on Christmas Day”.

But when she opened the bar “something was amiss”.

“The bottom of the block looked like you had ran out of chocolate mid way through production,” Jess wrote. “Imagine my dismay when I realised it wasn’t chocolate that was missing, but the Caramello I had put my dignity on the line for!”

We have two words for you Cadbury: quality control.

“If you could kindly send me a years supply of Caramello chocolate I’ll let this one slide,” Jess requested in her Facebook post.

She signed off as “Yours truly, Commando Caramello.”

Come on Cadbury, step up. The woman went commando for your Caramellos the least you could do is return the favour to her!
