Prince George beams as Prince William claims his first day 'went well'
He may have looked nervous when he arrived for his first day of school but this picture shows Prince George loves every minute of it.
Kensington Palace released the image of the four-year-old and his father, Prince William, after he had finished his first day, showing the little Prince beaming with joy.

It comes after Prince William reportedly said, on an official trip to visit England’s Under-20 football team, that his son’s day “went well”.
Kensington Palace shared the image, alongside the caption: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a photograph of The Duke and Prince George at Kensington Palace this morning.
“The image was taken by @chrisjacksongetty shortly before Prince George left for his first day of school at Thomas's Battersea.
“Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to share this lovely picture as Prince George starts school, and would like to thank everyone for all of the kind messages they have received.”
Prince George arrived for his first day at St Battersea School in London earlier in the day clinging on to his father’s hand.
The nervous boy looked cute as a button dressed in his school uniform, which consists of a navy pair of shorts, navy ankle socks, a blue shirt and a navy and red crested jumper.
But mum Kate Middleton was not in attendance, presumbably still suffering badly from hyperemesis gravidarum – severe morning sickness – which can cause extreme illness and hospitalisation.
Prince George was met instead by the Head of Lower House at Thomas's Battersea, Helen Haslem.
Ms Haslem shook hands with the young royal and then walked hand-in-hand with William taking George’s other hand walking him into the reception classroom.
She will see Prince George through the early years of his schooling at Thomas's Battersea up until year two. Then the royal will transition into the middle school.
“The emphasis in the Lower School is enjoyment and this is embedded in our broad curriculum and our most important school rule of ‘Be Kind’,” Ms Haslem says in a statement on the prep school’s website.
“We are proud of our creative curriculum and the children quickly become immersed in their topics and engage in all learning experiences presented to them,” she also states.
The Head of Lower School wore a muted blush coloured long-sleeved dress and matching shoes as she greeted the young royal on his first day.
The $30,000 per year school has a major emphasis on kindness amongst pupils.
