Meghan’s special wedding request for Kate

If rumours hold true and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot next year, she and Kate Middleton will officially be sisters.

But according to a report in Woman’s Day, Kate might get to hold a different title first.

While the soon to be mum-of-three has been struggling through hyperemesis gravidarum – a very severe form of morning sickness which has seen her hospitalised with each pregnancy – Suits star Meghan has apparently made her a very sweet gesture.

The actress is said to have sent Kate a delicate Tiffany bracelet alongside a note asking if the royal would be her maid of honour.

Although the palace has remained tight lipped on the matter, rumours are swirling that Harry and Meghan will soon be announcing their engagement after the pair spend a romantic holiday together in Africa.

Harry is said to have already asked the Queen for permission for the pair to marry, which is something he has to do under British law.

Interestingly, the UK's Royal Marriages Act of 1772 states that the monarch can actually veto the marriage of a family member, but it seems the Queen will do no such thing in this case.

It remains to be seen however, whether the Queen will actually attend the pair’s wedding.

As she is also the head of the Church of England, the monarch should technically not support the second marriage a divorcee, and 36-year-old Meghan was married for two years before splitting from her husband Trevor Engelson in 2013.
