The unexpected security measure used by William and Kate

They’re the world’s most sought after family, so when it comes to staying safe it’s no surprise Prince William and Kate Middleton will stop at nothing to protect their two children, George and Charlotte.

As you would expect, they have strict 24-hour security, with reports there are 1000 officers and a whopping budget of $170 million to keep the entire royal family safe.

Like any other family wanting to protect their house from prying eyes and threats, the couple have turned to nature to help out, planting a row of conifer trees along their house.

According to Hello! magazine, the trees will grow to a height of 12 metres and create a 250 metre long wall to shield the family’s home from view.

Security is sure to be something on the royal family’s mind, following the recent arrest of a woman at Prince George’s Thomas’ Battersea School for attempted burglary.

With Kate expecting their third baby and shunning most of her public events, the Duchess' safety at home is bound to be a main priority for Wills following the threat at George's school.
