Model’s epic response to body-shaming meme

Don’t mess with plus-size model Lesego Legobane. That’s the lesson Twitter user Leyton Mokgerepi learned the hard way after they targeted the photographer and blogger – and got totally shut down for the entire Twitterverse to see.

Earlier this week, Leyton shared a meme comparing Lesego to another model, body shaming the South African stunner with the caption, “Girls that I like vs girls that like me”.

After finding out about the meme after someone tagged her in it, the plus-sized model decided to give the body shamer a piece of her mind, posting four simple words: “I don’t like you”.

Her simple – but incredibly effective – tweet has since been liked over 945,000 times, with A-listers including Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj hitting the heart button to show some love.

“Guess who broke the internet today?” Lesego later posted on Instagram. “Thank you for the love!

Rather than focus on the negatives of the meme, Lesego is loving the wave of support that has come her way - and hopes women everywhere will follow in her footsteps and hit back at trolls.

"This is why body positivity on a public platform is so important, because others [are] able to draw inspiration from me and I appreciate that," she told the HuffPost.

"[It] means a lot to me that I can change someone’s perception about their physical appearance by loving my own.”
