Prince William laughs off Harry and Meghan engagement rumours

The Duke of Cambridge has remained tight lipped on Prince Harry’s relationship with Meghan Markle.

Despite rumours an engagement was imminent Prince William has sidestepped saying anything about his brother’s plans during a recent visit to Milton Keynes.

One of the most talked about couples, Harry and Meghan caused a stir this week when they finally stepped out for their first public appearance as a couple.

So on Tuesday when William visited William Cowley Parchment Makers, which makes vellum for royal documents and for use in Parliament, there was plenty of chatter about the pair.

While there, Paul Wright, the general manager of the company, told William: “If Prince Harry marries Meghan then his certificate will be in our vellum.”

According to reports the Duke simply responded with a diplomatic laugh.

“He just laughed — a nice laugh,” Paul said.

Walking into an event at the Invictus Games in Canada this week Harry and Meghan were seen holding hands, enjoying a laugh and getting cosy as they watched a wheelchair tennis event.

The pair have been dating since last year, which Harry confirming the relationship in November when he complained about intrusive press coverage.

Meghan then opened up recently to Vanity Fair saying they're in love. Since then British bet-maker Betfair is offering 6-to-4 odds that the couple will be engaged by the end of 2017, and 3-to-1 odds that they marry in 2018.
