Would you swim with these sharks?

This stunning brunette clearly isn't fazed by her unusual swimming companions.

The woman was photographed taking a dip with a group of sharks in Compass Cay, in the Bahamas, and is even seen patting them as if they were dogs.

Photographer Gaby Rguez, took the extraordinary shots and said the dozens of nurse sharks the woman is pictured with are mostly harmless.

"Swimming with sharks is a once in a lifetime experience,” she says, "Nurse sharks are slow-moving bottom-dwellers and are, for the most part, harmless to humans. They can be huge though, up to 14 feet."

The woman isn’t the only one adventurous enough to swim with sharks. At Compass Cay tourists are able to take a dip in the protected harbour with the local wildlife.

Sydney law student Sarah Kohan, is one of them, but she hasn't stopped at sharks. The 22-year-old doubles as a bikini-clad Instagram star and her passion for chasing after exotic sea creatures has rocketed her to social media fame and an impressive 760K followers.

Her recent adventures have taken her to places as far flung as Bora Bora, the Cook Islands and Hawaii, and she hopes her travels will inspire people to find a new respect for wildlife.

“Through my experiences I hope to bring awareness to local wildlife, especially by trying to break the stigma surrounding sharks,” she told the Daily Telegraph earlier this year.

“By being photographed with all types of sharks in their natural environment, I’m showing that they pose no threat as long as you are respectful to them.”
