Kate Middleton ‘bump-shamed’ online for being ‘too thin’

Kate Middleton stepped out for the first time this week since she announced her pregnancy last month.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning in a baby blue Temperley of London lace dress at a Kensington Palace reception.

However, while we were all swooning over her precious bump, people took to Instagram to shame the 35-year-old for being “too thin”.

“I can't believe she's prego, she looks too thin”, one commenter said on Kensington Palace’s Instagram account.

“I thought she was pregnant!?” another person said.

Others went on to say they were worried about the Duchess and hoped she was ok after suffering from weeks of sever morning sickness.

“Doesn’t even look pregnant. Ugh why is so so perfect?” one person said.

“Amazing. How she doesn‘t look pregnant at all?” another commenter said.

“She's so thin. I hope she's doing better,” a fan of the royals said.

The comments come after a statement released by Kensington Palace revealed that the Duchess was pregnant last month.

It’s thought the announcement came earlier than the royals would have liked but the Duchess’ absence from future royal engagements had to be explained.

“Their Royal Highness The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child,” the statement read.

“The Queen and members of both families are deighted with the news.

“As with her previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum.”

Indeed the Duchess missed out on accompanying Prince George to his first day of school just a few days afer the announcement was made.

She was being cared for at home by her mother, Carole Middleton and Prince William said he was looking forward to getting Kate back to full health.

“It was a bit anxious to start with,” he said during his speech at National Mental Health and Policing Conference in September.

He also said they hoped to “start celebrating this week” and added that there was “not much sleep going on at the moment.”
