Meghan set to move to UK 'within weeks' after quitting Suits
It seems like a massive royal announcement might be on the way because a new report claims Meghan Markle is ready to move to the UK as soon as this month.
According to a royal insider, Meghan is currently in the middle of filming some of her last scenes with the hit show and plans to move to the UK within weeks to be with her 33-year-old Prince.
“More recently I was told that Meghan is planning to move to the UK later this month. I had no denial from her PR when I put the story to them,” royal author and commentator Katie Nicholl told Newsweek.
“With her next move being a full-time move to London, it really does seem that marriage is on the cards. I was told by a mutual friend of theirs just this weekend: ‘It’s on, it’s going to happen.’”
It comes after rumours Meghan is set to quit her role on the hit USA Network drama Suits, with filming on the first part of her final season wrapping up in September. Production on the final six episodes of season 7 are ongoing, according to Variety.
“Meghan knows she can’t really act at the same time as being a princess and is happy to make this career sacrifice,” a source told the Daily Star recently.
“She really enjoys her charity work with Unicef and will broaden out her charity commitments when she becomes a full-time royal.”
The source goes on to claim that the engagement announcement will happen around Christmas and they’ve left it so long because they didn’t want to overshadow the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
Then when Kate Middleton announced she was pregnant last month, they also didn’t want to take any of the attention away from her.
The 36-year-old actress, who's been starring in the hit TV show Suits since 2011, reportedly asked back in February to write her character our of the series so she could focus on her relationship.
According to a source, the 35-year-old girlfriend of Prince Harry is hoping to focus on other aspects of her life, like her humanitarian work, and take a break from Hollywood.
“[She is] ready to be done with Suits [and with] acting in general," they told E!.
"Even before Harry, she was starting to think about transitioning out of acting.”
Prince Harry and Meghan are said to be extremely happy and are house hunting in the Cotswolds.
The news comes just weeks after Harry and Meghan made their first appearance together at the Invictus Games in Toronto.
The pair were pictured holding hands, kissing and looking completely at ease as they watched the games unfold.
Meghan’s mother, Doria, was even in attendance, with Prince Harry having a laugh with her in the stands.
It was also claimed last week that Prince Harry was even trying to get a room at Buckingham Palace for Doria to move in to.
“Meghan can’t imagine not having her mum close by and she wants her to experience royal life and the adventure she’s about to embark on,” an insider told Woman’s Day.
“Meghan think it would be wrong for her to live in luxury at Kensington Palace while her mum is struggling to make ends meet.”
