Princess Mary's security scare
Princess Mary may be used to travelling all over the world on royal engagements but her most recent trip has been cancelled due to security concerns.
According to Danish website The Local the 35-year-old mother-of-four’s planned conference in Senegal, west Africa, had to be scrapped.
Princess Mary was due to attend a conference in Senegal for the Save the Children charity.
“For reasons of security, the participation of the Minister for Development and Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess in the conference must regrettably be cancelled,” a statement read, according to the website.
The statement didn’t expand on the reasons why the trip was cancelled however, last week people in Senegal were warned of a potential terror threat in the area.
