The unofficial royal 'rule' Kate will break when she becomes Queen

When the Duchess of Cambridge becomes Queen, she’ll break another (unofficial) royal tradition.

Because there's one thing Kate Middleton has ticked off her to-do list that no other queen ever has: getting a university degree.

Kate and William actually met while they were studying at St. Andrews University in Edinburgh.

The pair graduated in 2005, Will with a master’s in geography and Kate with a master’s degree (with honours) in art history.

If and when Kate eventually becomes the Queen, she will be the only one ever in the UK to hold a degree and have attended university.

Of course, Queen Elizabeth II’s education isn’t anything short of top notch.

She was home-schooled by the best teachers one could have and after she officially became heir to the throne in 1936, she studied constitutional history and law with Eton College Vice Provost Henry Marten.

On top of that she can also speak French, learnt music and literature from a personal governess and even took lessons in religion with the Archbishop of Canterbury.

This is not the first time Kate has broken with royal tradition.

When she walked down the aisle in 2011 she become the oldest royal bride in British history.

Kate also for some time held a part-time job as an accessories buyer for the chain store Jigsaw, after graduating university.

And just the other week rumour had it that the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William might break from royal tradition when it comes to Prince George and allow him to attend a co-ed school instead of single sex.
