Ferrari driver's fury over parking ticket for taking two spots

All Kevin McWhinney wanted was to park his high-end red sports car without getting any dings or scratches in its precious paintwork.

His solution? To use two spaces, maximising the amount of room on either side of the car.

But the sausage-factory boss was enraged when he came back to his vehicle to discover he'd copped a parking fine for "not parking wholly within the markings of the bay/space".

"It’s about not wanting to get dents in the car," Kevin, from Antrim in Northern Ireland, said.

"I previously had a BMW that was dented in a hotel car park and the hotel paid for the repairs in the end."

Kevin wants to fight the power over his Ferrari-parking problem.

"I try to fight for public rights on certain issues so they don’t have to swallow this crap, but in this instance I’m fighting for my own right," he said.

"Where can I park my car safely without being fined?"
