Princess Mary and her children Christian, 12, Isabella, 10, and six-year-old twins Vincent and Josephine, were watching the yearly hunt from the balcony of Hermitage Palace, north of Copenhagen.

Contestants had gathered in the square in front of the palace for the awarding of the Hubertus Chain, which was given to the winner by Princess Mary with the help of Princess Isabella.
Tens of thousands of people gathered to watch the cross-country horse race which marks the end of the hunting season in Denmark
It takes place every year on the first Sunday in November and about 160 riders were involved in this year’s event.
