Psychic predicted Princess Mary's royal future

She may be living a fairytale life with her handsome prince and perfect children in a Denmark castle.

However, it’s now been revealed that Princess Mary's whole future was predicted for her by a psychic, when she was still Mary Donaldson from Tasmania.

The 45-year-old was just a 28-years-old advertising executive when she was wandering through the Paddington flea market in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Speaking to Jens Andersen, author of Prince Frederik's new biography Under the Bar, Mary said she stopped to have her tarot cards read.

The psychic was very clear about what she saw in Mary’s future, telling the young woman that she would meet a man from abroad and move overseas to be with him.

“So, I left there and thought, ‘Well yes, that was a lot of fun, but nothing more”, Princess Mary told Andersen in the book.

The night Mary met Prince Frederik at the Slip Inn pub in Sydney also comes up in the book, with the princess saying she had no idea who he was.

“I didn't know he was the prince of Denmark,” she said.

“Half an hour later, someone came up to me and said, ‘Do you know who these people are?’,” she said.

Princess Mary and Prince Frederik went on to marry in a lavish ceremony in 2004 in Denmark and went on to have four children together.

She goes on to say that she “believes in fate” and doesn’t think everything that has happened to her in her life came about randomly.

“But I don’t try to look ahead and say, ‘Can I predict my destiny for the next two years?’,” she says.

“I don’t want to talk to anyone who claims they can. No one should read anything about me and my future.”
