The Queen 'invites' Meghan Markle for Christmas dinner at Buckingham Palace
Meghan Markle has been welcomed with open arms by the Queen, who has now reportedly invited the Suits star for a Christmas spread at Buckingham Palace.
The 36-year-old, who is said to be packing up and moving over to London from Canada to be with Prince Harry, is being made feel right at home with her new family.
The royal family reportedly don’t want Meghan to feel left out at Christmas and have already set aside a spot for her at the dinner table.
According to OK! magazine, Meghan is “thrilled” with the invitation but is worried about leaving her mother, Doria, alone on the day.
However, Kate Middleton has reportedly stepped in to offer Doria a room at Anmer Hall in Norfolk so she can be closeby.
A source told Closer magazine that Kate Middleton totally related to everything Meghan is going through and doesn’t forget how she felt when she spent her first Christmas with the royals.
"She was a bag of nerves the first time she did Christmas with the royals, so she knows exactly how daunting it must be for Meghan,” the insider said.
It comes just after it was revealed that the duo is planning to tie the knot next July in honour of Prince Harry’s beloved late mother, Princess Diana.
A source from Buckingham Palace is said to have told A Current Affair that Prince Harry wants to hold his own wedding on the same month his mother married Prince Charles, who famously wed in July 1981.
Royal watchers have been sent into a frenzy with the news that Meghan is packing up her life in Canada and moving to London to be with Prince Harry.
It’s been claimed the star has asked Suits bosses to write her out of the hit show so she can re-locate, and all signs point to the lovebirds being committed to settling down together.
