How Kate really feels about Harry and Meghan's engagement

Six years after her own wedding, the Duchess of Cambridge is ‘absolutely thrilled’ that her brother-in-law Prince Harry is finally about to walk down the aisle himself.

Visiting London’s Foundling Museum on Tuesday, the 35-year-old Kate Middleton said she’s delighted for the happy couple.

“It’s such exciting news,” she was quoted saying, “It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”

It comes after she and husband Prince William were one of the first people to publicly wish Harry and his bride Meghan Markle best after they announced their engagement on Monday night.

They said, “It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.”

Kate, who’s expecting her third child in April, was out and about at the museum on Tuesday to meet families who have benefitted from it’s education and outreach programs.

For the occasion, the mum-of-two wore a printed shirt dress from Kate Spade that she paired with suede burgundy heels and a matching clutch.

We’ll have to wait and see if Kate will bring the newest member of the royal family to Harry and Meghan’s wedding, which is due to take place in May, just a month after she gives birth.

Unlike Kate and Wills’ wedding at Westminster Abbey, Harry and Meghan will say ‘I do’ at Windsor Castle, outside of London, with the vibe set to be ‘fun and joyful’ to match their personalities.

In the interview he and Meghan gave to celebrate their engagement, Harry recalled how he introduced his love to his brother and sister-in-law.

“I’d been seeing [Meghan] for a period of time when I literally didn’t tell anybody at all,” he told the BBC.

“And then William was longing to meet her and so was Catherine, so you know, being our neighbours, we managed to get that in a couple of, well, quite a few times now, and Catherine has been absolutely amazing, as has William as well, you know, fantastic support.”

Markle added that the duchess has been ‘wonderful’ towards her.
