Mum shares daughter's heartwarming letter to Santa
A mum was so proud of her eight-year-old daughter’s letter to Santa that she shared it on the internet for the whole world to see.
Diana Vasquez Prado told Love What Matters that her “heart melted” and she “cried” when she read Nadia’s letter, which actually asked Santa what he wanted this year.
“Dear Santa Clause,” the letter started.
“Since you’ve been giving us presents every year, this year I ask for nothing.
“I have toys, a home, family and love. So this year I want to make you something.”
Nadia went on to ask Santa what he wants and say she’ll make it for him, before signing off “love Nadia”.
The letter has already received over 40,000 likes on Facebook, with people astounded by the eight-year-old’s maturity.
Speaking to Love What Matters, Nadia’s mum, Diana, said she was beyond proud of her daughter.
“Our favorite holiday is Christmas, and I’ve always tried to instill the true spirit of Christmas into each of my daughters,” she said.
“Christmas is about love, happiness and, overall, family.
“She has learned that family is everything and love is more important than gifts under a tree.”
Diana said Nadia is a “fun loving, happy person who rarely has a bad day”.
“She genuinely loves everybody,” she said.
