Details of Meghan and Kate's wild girls’ nights out revealed
They’re about to become sister-in-law’s and it appears Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have already formed a firm bond.
The 36-year-old former Suits actress and the 35-year-old Duchess of Cambridge are apparently so close that they have spent many wild nights out together gossiping.
Kate Middleton knows all too well how much pressure new royals can be under and is said to have taken Meghan under her wing to guide her through life at Buckingham Palace.
“Kate is really looking out for her,” a source told Life & Style, claiming that the two friends are thick as thieves and are often spotted in a corner of private members club Soho House in London having a natter.
“Kate’s advising her new BFF on how to deal with what lies ahead,” the source added.
“They’ve become super close and love their girls’ nights out!”.
According to reports, Kate is also well aware that Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, doesn’t think Meghan should be marrying Prince Harry and she believes she’ll be the first to criticize the American.
“She wants to protect Meghan from all the negative parts of royal life and – in particular – from Camilla,” a source told New Idea.
It comes after it was reported in July that Meghan was caught “completely off guard” by Camilla’s “hostility” when the pair met in Toronto.
“She told Meghan that she didn’t like her relationship with Harry and that she should think twice before agreeing to his marriage proposal because Camilla was planning to make her life very tough,” a palace insider told New Idea.
“She’s long thought Meghan isn’t good enough for Harry and told her that she’s not welcome in the royal family.”
However, in the public eye things appear very differently, with Camilla telling reporters that she was “absolutely delighted” about the royal wedding just after Meghan and Harry’s engagement was announced.
Yet Woman's Day reports the Duchess is “furious” Meghan has been so readily accepted into the royal family by the public, especially given their similar backgrounds.
“Unlike Camilla, Meghan wasn’t treated as second-rate when Harry proposed, despite the fact she’s a divorcee,” source tells Woman's Day.
“Everyone is comparing Meghan to Diana right now and saying she’ll be the next ‘people’s princess’.”
It’s also claimed that Camilla is less than impressed that Meghan and Harry are planning to marry at Windsor Castle – the same place she and Charles tied the knot.
