Donald Trump won't like 'being snubbed' from the royal wedding

He may have a whole country to run but Donald Trump is said to be extremely keen to attend the royal wedding.

A new book called Fire And Fury: Inside The Trump White House, which Trump and his aides have reportedly tried to stop from being released, reveals the President’s strong urge to be a party of the May 19 nuptials.

Author Michael Wolff, who spend hundreds of hours in the White House interviewing top officials, claims Trump would be less than impressed if he didn’t make the guest list.

“He doesn't like being snubbed and wants to be the centre of attention all the time,” Wolff told The Mail on Sunday.

“He sees the Queen in reality TV show terms.

“He will try to Trumpalise the Queen and Buckingham Palace.”

While head of states are usually front and centre at royal weddings it’s unclear whether Trump will receive an invitation in the post.

Prince Harry and the Obamas are famously very close, with the royal even traveling to Chicago for the Obama Foundation Summit.

Michelle Obama even co-hosted the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games with Prince Harry when it came to Florida in 2016.

And in 2013, the duo paid their respect in a ceremony at the White House for military families.

Meghan Markle was also a staunch Hilary Clinton supporter during the US Presidential campaign.

However, it’s claimed that it could put a strain on Great Britain’s relationship with the USA if Trump and his wife, Melania, are snubbed from the big day.

“Harry has made it clear he wants the Obamas at the wedding, so it’s causing a lot of nervousness," a senior government official previously told The Sun.

“Trump could react very badly if the Obamas get to a Royal wedding before he has had a chance to meet the Queen.

“Conversations are ongoing about and ministers will eventually have to decide. If [Prime Minister Theresa May] lays down the law, Harry will just have to suck it up.”

However, considering the royal wedding is a state occasion it means Buckingham Palace will have control over the guest list, not 10 Downing Street.
