Hilarious wardrobe malfunction at croc show

It was the once-in-a-lifetime experience that saw Cameron De Jong treat his uncle John Rutherford to an up-close crocodile encounter during a holiday in Darwin.

But onlookers at Crocosaurus Cove were left with more of a show than they expected after a hilarious underwater wardrobe malfunction by John.

Jumping into the Cage of Death wearing a T-shirt and some loose shorts, John probably could have chosen some more appropriate gear for the dive.

“I got out the phone to get some photos and he started kicking his legs and I could see his bloody nuts,” Cameron told NT News.

Despite his best attempts to get his uncle to cover up, the message didn’t get through, so Cameron did the next best thing – snap a photo.

“I thought I’ll just take the photos, he’ll get a kick out of it, he’s a bit of a joker,” Cameron added.

While Cameron admits he didn’t raise the alarm as there weren’t too many people at the attraction when the indiscretion occurred, there was one tourist – accompanied by a little girl – who copped a serious eyeful.

Battling internally over whether he should say something to them, Cameron's decision came a little too late after the sightseers noticed John in the water and came over.

“I could pick the moment she saw them because she said ‘Oh darling, let’s go look at a different croc,’” Cameron told NT News.
