Bizarre 'UFO' spotted shooting across Qld sky

‘The truth is out there’ some might say after seeing this latest strange glowing light spotted shooting across the sky in North Queensland.

The glowing green ‘something’ was captured by complete accident by photographer Betty Seeney on a Cape Hillsborough beach.

The area is not short on stories about UFOs and Betty believes they’re out there saying ‘you never know’.

“At first I got so excited thinking it was a falling star but I quickly realised that it wasn’t in fact the case,” Betty tells Be.

Betty was visiting the Mackay area on an astrophotography workshop when she witnessed the glowing light.

“That actual shot was to be of the Milky Way using a 20 second exposure,” she tells us.

But what exactly the strange glowing object was, remains a mystery.

“It just looked like a shooting star to start with then it just got longer, bigger and brighter and I said to my husband ‘this is no shooting star’,” she told the Daily Mercury.

While she believes in the extra-terrestrial, Betty admits she didn’t think it was a UFO.

"I think they're out there, there are many unexplained sightings of strange things," she tells us.

“[But here] a meteor sprung to mind."

But regardless of what it was, Betty couldn’t believe her luck in capturing the shot.

“It was truly a sight to behold and I feel very blessed to be given the opportunity to witness it and mostly to have captured it unexpectedly,” she says.

“A case of being in the right place at the right time.”
