Third of men expect sex on the first date

Most men expect to get lucky when they meet someone for the first time, says a new report.

Cosmetic surgery group MyAesthetics conducted a survey of 1,000 people and found that a third of guys are hoping for sex on a first date, compared with just 15 per cent of women.

However, 98 per cent of women expect a man to pay for dinner on a first date and 60 per cent of men are happy to.

“In light of all the new dating apps and agencies we were intrigued to find out how people’s attitudes towards dating had changed,” says Adrian Baxter, General Manager of MyAesthetics.

“This survey has produced some really interesting results and shown some traditional values still hold firm, even in today’s ‘swipe-right’ generation.”

Meanwhile, the poll found that eight per cent of men said they would wait until they were married before having sex compared to nine per cent of women.
