How to stop your hens from becoming a scene out of Bridesmaids

Planning a bachelorette party can be a nightmare before you even start!

Usually, hen dos are left for the maid of honour to plan, so it may be up to you to help give her a bit of direction. But you may also have to weigh in if you think people will clash or there will be tension between your bridal entourage on who you invite or where you go.

So natch, we watched Bridesmaids for inspo on what NOT to do.....

1. Make sure your bridesmaids – or whoever is organising – do not clash with each other
Not unless you want continual bickering throughout the whole of your hens party. It’s up to you to mediate if they are butting heads over where you are going or what you are doing if they aren’t getting on.

2. Have a realistic budget
No one wants to have their bank account drained or use up their annual leave for compulsory organised fun.

3. Choose your restaurants wisely
It’s important to make sure everyone is fed if there’s going to be alcohol involved. But make sure you know where you’re eating, pr you might just find the bride taking a dump in the middle of the road!

4. Intoxication may (or may not) lead to a little too much honesty
While most brides-to-be want an epic blow out ahead of their wedding, they want it in the right way. Make sure things don’t get so messy that people end up hating each other before your wedding day.

5. Find a doable location
You can’t expect all of your girls to be able to afford to fly to Bali for your hens. take time off for your wedding and still transfer you a decent amount over for your ‘wish list’ wedding present.

6. Plan your activities thoroughly
As much as everyone want to take home a puppy or dip a giant cookie in a chocolate fountain, make sure you know your audience. The gals at your hens may just be happy with a bucket load of booze and a few games of Mr. and Mrs.
