Melania simply ‘an object’ to Trump

It’s the clip that’s gone viral around the world and been watched countless times in painfully awkward slow motion.

Melania Trump, with a bright, beaming smile plastered across her face at the inauguration of her husband Donald, turns that smile upside down the second the President turns away.

Now a body language expert has weighed in, claiming there's an obvious disconnect between the pair.

"Melania is an object to [Trump]," Susan Constantine told Mic. "I don't see any warmth or true love and compassion in that relationship whatsoever."

That’s not the only evidence of a strained relationship between the President and his First Lady.

It’s also been pointed out that on the day of his inauguration, Trump was quick to get out of the car and publicly greet the Obamas on the White House steps – and leave Melania trailing behind him.

It’s a stark contrast to the behaviour between Barack and Michelle Obama.

The couple were caught sharing a sweet moment, when Barack grabbed his wife’s hand and tenderly kissed it later that day.

Meanwhile, Trump and Melania seemed stiff and distant in comparison.

"If you didn't know that they were married, you wouldn't know that they are married," adds Susan.
