Why Trump avoids holding Melania’s hand
It’s one of those sweet and simple relationship habits that signify a couple are connected, supportive and not afraid to show they care about each other.
But for President Trump and his wife Melania, holding hands in public is clearly a big no-no judging by an awkward incident between the pair as they arrived at Palm Beach airport on the way to a weekend break at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.

Captured on video, the couple are seen holding hands before they come into view of waiting media.
Trump quickly drops Melania’s hand to clap, and despite her best efforts to slip her hand into his again, the President pats her away.
It’s clearly an awkward moment, and it’s got people buzzing over the state of their relationship.
According to body language expert Patti Wood, Trumps reluctance to hold hands with his wife in public is an indication of his alpha male tendencies.
“Typically a hand-hold shows a couple as a unit,” Patti told the Daily Mail. “But to me, I think he's been saying, ‘I want to be seen as the president on my own', which is very much alpha. ‘I want to be just the powerful me.’ And it's clear that that's his choice.”
It’s not the first time experts have picked up the POTUS’s lack of connection with his wife.
After the now infamous moment Melania was seen brightly beaming at her husband during the inauguration, only to have her face drop the second he looked away, some have speculated that Melania is simply a very public prop for the President.
"Melania is an object to [Trump]," Susan Constantine told Mic. "I don't see any warmth or true love and compassion in that relationship whatsoever."
