Diana’s death threats to Camilla

A royal author has made the shock claim Princess Diana used to call Camilla Parker Bowles and leave threatening messages.

Royal author Penny Junor made the bombshell allegations in the Daily Mail, writing Princess Diana was “not well during those years from the late Eighties to the mid-Nineties” and saw “conspiracies everywhere”.

Following reports that Prince Charles’ marriage was troubled from the very beginning due to Di’s jealousy over his ex-lover Camilla, Penny adds claims things took a menacing turn in the years before the death of Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997.

“Camilla received a number of threatening and unnerving calls from the Princess in the middle of the night,” Penny wrote in the Daily Mail recently.

“Without saying who was calling, she’d typically say: ‘I’ve sent someone to kill you. They’re outside in the garden. Look out of the window; can you see them?’”

It’s alleged Camilla wasn’t the only target of Diana’s calls, with her private secretary Patrick Jephson and the Prince’s aide Richard Aylard also reportedly bombarded with calls from Diana.

The claim comes out of Penny’s biography on Camilla’s life, The Duchess: The Untold Story, which also details how Di unleashed a shocking six-hour tantrum while honeymooning with Charles.

According to Penny, fed up with Charles’ preference for hours spent reading or painting while they cruised around the Mediterranean and later spent time at Balmoral Estate, Diana lost it when Charles went out hunting.

With the prince’s aide Michael Colborne for company, Di reportedly spent six solid hours raging, ranting and kicking furniture over her frustrations with her new husband.

The wedding of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Camilla Parker Bowles took place in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall, on 9 April 2005.
