For Prince Harry, it looks like the planets have aligned for a potential proposal after he whisked his Suits star girlfriend away for a lavish holiday to Africa to celebrate her 36th birthday.

Oh, and the couple are celebrating their first anniversary as well.

The lovebirds were spotted arriving in Africa, with Prince Harry putting his arm protectively around his girlfriend as they walked across the airport tarmac.

From there, it was straight to Harry’s friend’s house for a surprise BBQ, with reports the royal has gone all out with Meghan’s birthday trip, planning a safari, boating trips and organising camping sites.

“Harry has been planning this holiday for a long time,” a source tells The Sun.

“Who knows what will happen when they’re watching a sensational African sunset together? Maybe he’ll get down on one knee.”

The royal has made no secret of the special place Africa holds in his heart, regularly doing conservation work there with elephants and black rhinos, and escaping from the demands of the spotlight.

In a sign of just how much Meghan means to him, Harry is now showing her all the places he holds nearest and dearest, with many wondering if this will be the special place he asks her to be his wife.

“He’ll make this a holiday she’ll never forget and perhaps she’ll come back with a ring on her finger,” adds the source.
