Woman concocts her own ‘vagina perfume’ to attract men

Spritzing a bit of perfume on yourself as you run out the door is nothing special, but one woman has taken the idea of wearing your smell on your sleeve to whole new levels by creating a scent out of her own bodily fluids.

Her vaginal fluids, to be exact.

In a bizarre experiment, Los Angeles writer Allison Ramirez decided to create a ‘vagina perfume’ made from her own secretions to see how men would react.

Confessing that like most of us, her love life “ebbs and flows” as she struggles to find someone to connect with, Allison’s research uncovered that this type of ‘perfume’ has been used in medieval times before.

She even enlisted the help of scent expert Saskia Wilson-Brown to concoct her own special perfume blend using notes of cedar and rose.

Then came time to add the magic ingredient.

“After watching a few YouTube videos and consulting the internet about how exactly to collect vaginal fluid, I used a long Q-tip to basically extract some residue from my vagina in order to use it for my perfume,” Allison wrote in an article for Cosmopolitan.

Allison then tested out the scent on three separate occasions.

On the first night, a double date with a guy she had met previously, saw them end up having a sneaky kissing session in a photo booth.

"I can't help it," Allison revealed he told her. "It's that scent you have."

The next day, a dab of her perfume saw her regular gas station cashier be “nicer to me than normal”.

The third occasion saw Allison apply her vagina perfume for a breakfast burrito date. While he didn’t react to her scent at the time, he did call her afterwards for a date.

While there mightn't be any scientific backing behind it, Allison admits it did shake up her dating routine. Photo: Instagram

So what was Allison’s verdict?

“In all honesty, this experiment was just a little something extra for me (like a wink or a hair flip), and there's a chance that all this positively charged sexual energy was just part of the placebo effect,” she says.
