Creepy look inside sex doll factory

If you ever thought your job was a little left-of-field, then spare a moment for the people working in sex doll factories - yes they exist, and given the increasing popularity of the human-like companions, they are thriving.

But while more and more people are openly talking about owning one - or many - real-life sex dolls or robots the reality behind how these are made is far from romantic.

New photos have emerged from inside a factory owned by a company called EXDOLL, and they are super creepy to say the least.

The images show workers creating the dolls from scratch within the factory based in the northeastern Chinese port city of Dalian.

China is facing a massive gender gap, with 33.6 million more men than women in the country of 1.4 billion people. Add an ageing population to that scenario and EXDOLL is benefiting from an increased appetite for these dolls.

EXDOLL aim to connect up lonely men and retirees with a new kind of companion - what they call ‘Smart’ sex dolls, that can talk, play music and even turn on dishwashers.

The company currently makes 400 custom dolls per month, which is a massive rise from 2009 when they made just 10 a month.

When purchasing a doll, buyers can customise each one to their specification for height, skin tone, breast size, amount of pubic hair, eye and hair colour.

The faces of the dolls, both robotic and non robotic, are then painstaking painted and decorated with false eyelashes and make-up.

The most popular order is for dolls with fair skin, large 'breasts' and heights between 5”2 and 5”7.

And if you thought that was it, EXDOLL is also working on rolling out more advanced 'dolls' featuring artificial intelligence technology.

That means they'll be able to have more complex facial expressions and bod movements, as well as voice recognition and moving eyes.

Yep, doesn't sound like it will get any less creepy.
