SNP's Stephen Gethins Wins North East Fife Seat by Two Votes

The SNP’s Stephen Gethins held on to win the Fife North East seat in the 2017 general election by just two seats.

Gethins polled 13,743 votes to leave him two ahead of Janet Riches of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, who secured 13,741.

Gethins’s winning margin was the joint third-lowest in UK general election history, according to the BBC.
