Flying Fox Has the Most Irresistible Eyes

For such tiny creatures, flying foxes have incredibly large eyes. But their large eyes aren’t just for display, according the carer of orphaned bats in an August 2 video.

“Small insectivorous microbats can see but as they use echolocation to find their prey, they have relatively poor eyesight and they preferred to roost in dark places,” the Batzilla the Bat page explained.

“On the other hand, flying-foxes have excellent day and night vision which is used to locate fruit, blossom, leaves and bark and they roost in large colonies at the tops of trees in the full sun.” Credit: Batzilla the Bat via Storyful
