K9 Trades Crime Fighting for Play Fighting as He Retires

After eight years of service, one of Bakersfield Police Department’s most devoted members retired from the force on January 5. Loyal K9 Bronx received a huge round of applause as he exited the department with his partner, Officer Chris Dalton.

According to a post shared by the department, Bronx has been one of the longest-serving police dogs the agency ever had. Leaving the crime-fighting lifestyle behind him, Bronx is set to begin a more relaxed life at home with Dalton and his family.
