Photographer defends X-rated wedding shoot

A Dutch photographer has come out swinging against critics of his latest, raunchy wedding shoot.

One picture of the newlyweds, whose names were not published, shows a bride dressed in a traditional white gown on her knees in a patch of forest.

The groom, dressed in a blue suit, can be seen standing in front of the bride with his pants down, seemingly watching over his new wife as she performs a sex act on him.

And Michel Kloosters, who took the photo, says anyone offended it by it is just "prudish".

"Who thinks this is offensive, still lives in the year 1996," he said. "Of all the pictures taken, there is one that is playful, which in ten years is still fantastic to talk about."

"Give these people their joy," Michel went on. "Life is already prudish enough."

The highly unusual wedding photo went viral in the Netherlands and gathered more than 27,000 likes.

Michel said he has already received three requests from other couples to take a similar "blow job picture" for their wedding albums.

Klooster, who has been working as a professional photographer for eight years, said he is quite open-minded but at times does have to tell his clients "no" when the work becomes too pornographic.

"I don't want private parts visible on the picture, but everything that creates the impression is interesting," Michel said.

Perhaps the strangest aspect of the picture is that one of the newlyweds' mothers came up with the idea, although it is unclear which one.

"They were very cheerful people," Michel said. "A nice and casual wedding, at which everything did not have to be so formal."

The photographer added that the picture is in no way a marketing stunt and said he was merely giving the couple the photo they wanted.
